The following is information about some of our 2012 activities:

 

08/14/2012 #1: Louie Gualtieri and family had a family reunion at the beginning of the month for a week. Over 40 individuals showed up. There were 4 generations in attendance and it sounded like everyone had a great time.
#2: Stacia Logan, Mario Gualtieri’s granddaughter and Leysa Gualtieri Logan’s daughter is now a PreK Teacher at Dallas City Elementary. That was my old school in the 1940s.
 

07/16/2012 #1: Clorinda Gualtieri Weiner, Louie Gualtieri’s daughter, had neck surgery on July 10th. She had 2 vertebrates' removed and plastic inserted. She is recovering and doing very well.
#2: Mike Guthrie, Louie Gualtieri’s son-in-law and Teresa Gualtieri’s husband, is suppose to go into the VA Hospital for surgery on his back as soon as they are sure what needs to be done.
#3: Matt Elliott, Mario Gualtieri’s son-in-law and Nina Gualtieri’s husband, told me that for the 5th consecutive year Special Operations Detective Agency (his company) *Division of the Security Arts Corporation has been selected for the 2012 Best of Sheboygan Award in the Security Officers & Patrol Services category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).
 

July 06, 2012: On June 30th Paola Guatieri, Uncle Damiano’s granddaughter and Cousin Luigi’s daughter, married Beppe Corvo in Torino, Italy. Unfortunately, the weather was really hot with a temperature of about 40 degrees centigrade and the location was invaded by mosquitoes... anyway the celebration was wonderful. 06/07/2012 #1: Over the last couple of weeks Northern Italy was shook by a couple of earthquakes. The one Sunday, June 03, was a magnitude 4.8 Earthquake and at least 15 people were killed. Rolando Stevanella felt it in his office in Tornio. He told me everyone was OK.
#2: Mike and Teresa tell me that everyone on the east coast is doing fine from the big storms they had.
#3: Rolando Stevanella said both his daughters, Sara and Ilaria, are practicing competitive swimming. In March, Sara participated for the first time, at the Italian Youth Swimming Championship 2012 (short course) in Riccione, Italy. She was ranked 20th in the 50 meters freestyle and 23rd in the 100 meters backstroke. See pictures in his sub-album in the gallery.
#4: Austin Gualtieri, my grandson, graduated from High School on May 18th. See pictures in Danial’s sub-album in the gallery.
 

05/15/2012: Salvatore/Sammy Gualtieri’s wife Jo (Neva) died May 15, 2012 in Las Vegas, NV.
 

01/26/2012: Alexis Demko, my granddaughter, was a gold key winner in our regional 2012 The Scholastic Writing Contest. She is one of 113 winners out of 1405 submissions. The ceremony was held on 2/16. Her writting has been forwared to the Nation Contest. We will know more in March.
 

02/08/2012 - Danial Gualtieri, my son, was named as one of 2 inventors of on a new International Patent, # PCTIUSI1149710, for " Methods and System for Evaluating Environmental Impact of Drilling Operations ". This is his second patent.
The abstract on the patent is:
A method of monitoring subterranean operations is disclosed. A first well bore is drilled in a subterranean formation and a fluid is directed into the first well bore. The fluid comprises a tracer. At least one sensor is positioned in a second well bore located proximate to the first well bore and the tracer is detectable by the at least one sensor. The presence of the tracer in the second well bore is then detected using the at least one sensor.
